2011

Happy New Year to everyone! We have had a very interesting year to say the least- lots of life changing events. First, this is the first year we were Aunt Jamie and Uncle John and we have really enjoyed watching our niece Parker grow and change so much over her first year! Next we bought our first home in Lexington and we are really happy and feel very comfortable and settled like we never felt before. In the Spring I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's disease and in the fall lost my cousin Lauren in a tragic car accident. We are still praying for peace for the Baker family and hope 2011 has great things in store to help everyone heal.

John got a new job this fall and he is really enjoying his new position with Coca-Cola. No travelling is involved and he is very good at his job, so things are going well for him and we are happy with the change! I still have my job at Henry Clay High School and my classes this year have been very smooth and enjoyable compared to previous years- I think the roughest 'New Teacher' stage is over.

In the year 2011, we hope to spend more time exercising, getting out doors and enjoying the things we love! I'd like to work on my poor posture habits and learn to stand/sit up straighter and John wants to spend more time learning to play guitar. Overall, we are very excited to see what 2011 has to offer and wish the best for everyone else too!
