Jamie and John's Blog

This was our first Easter as a family of four!  Emma is almost 6 weeks old now! Leah had a ton of fun hunting eggs and even cooperated enough to wear a hat in the sun.  She was melting our hearts picking up eggs and playing!  We are very blessed. John attended the sunrise service, we had brunch at Park Methodist Church and Leah hunted eggs.  Jenny and Corey came and helped Leah!  Then, we drove to Dana and Chuck's house and had dinner and the kids hunted eggs.  We had a wonderful time with friends and family!

Our sweet little Leah is turning 2 years old today!  She is such a joy to be around!  She loves watching Mickey Mouse, Bubble Guppies and Baby Einsteins.  Leah loves to climb on anything, she likes numbers and can count, she enjoys puzzles and baby dolls.  We can't get enough of this cute smile and we're excited to see what new things this next year will bring!  Happy Birthday Leah! Our sweet baby girl, Emma Caroline, has arrived!  March 11, 2014 at 7:46am.  She weighed 8lbs 6oz and has a beautiful head of black hair!  We couldn't be happier and are very thankful to have had an easy delivery of a healthy baby!  

Baby Emma Caroline is almost here!  This is 37 weeks down!  We can't wait to finally meet her and introduce her to our friends and family.  It's been a very long pregnancy for me but I'm sure she'll be worth every last second!

 On October 30th we found out that we have a little girl on the way!  She should be here around March 15th!  We're very excited to give Leah a sister!  The nursery is ready and now we're playing the waiting game. Leah has fully transitioned into her big girl bed without a hitch!  She can get up and down and doesn't fuss before bed.  She sleeps through the night and we are very blessed to have such an amazing baby girl!  We hope she can teach baby girl #2 the ropes!

Summer 2013 has been full of excitement for the Gillispies!  First,  John played in a golf tournament and shot a hole-in-one!!  This hole was on a prize hole and it was sponsored by Embry's fur coats, so he won a fur coat (for me!) Next, we traveled to Holden Beach with the Baker family and had a blast with Leah!  Leah took her time getting used to the sand and waves but by day two we were having to drag her out of the water!  She really loved it and so did we! Finally, the day we returned home from vacation, we packed a moving truck to move into our new house!  Our house's previous owners were moving out as we were moving in and as our renter was moving into our old house!  It was a stressful day, but with the help of friends and family we moved everything and survived. We are really excited to start a new chapter of our lives in our new house!
