Our sweet baby girl, Emma Caroline, has arrived! March 11, 2014 at 7:46am. She weighed 8lbs 6oz and has a beautiful head of black hair! We couldn't be happier and are very thankful to have had an easy delivery of a healthy baby!
I've heard that when a small child falls down and cries, a bandaid can help. Even if the child isn't bleeding- stick a bandaid on and all is well. Funny thing: I get asked about 10 times a day for a bandaid by high school freshman. It is usually the same kids sticking a finger in my face to show me that they are not bleeding and have no visible hangnails or papercuts. I, of course, am not a nurse and I don't keep bandaids, nor could I keep them if anyone found out I had a box. Also, in case you were wondering, the new cool way to hurt your friends is to flick them in the neck. Right on the Adam's apple if you can- if you have a rubber band, it's the best. Yes, I'm ready for Spring Break.
This year was our fifth Valentines day together. I have never made John celebrate because I don't really care, but this year we had a romantic dinner. John made a fire in the fire place and I cooked dinner. Valentines Day fell on a Thursday which meant John had just finished some prints in his photo-lab. (John has a new hobby-photography. He is taking a photography class where you take and develop pictures and learn about perspective and art etc. ) After dinner, John handed me a stack of photos to sort through so he could show me what he has learned. I looked through a few and everything looked great until I saw a picture of John playing Scrabble. I laughed because it obviously didn't fit in with the rest, but I finally understood when I saw the next picture. It was a picture of his Scrabble board with the words "Jamie will you marry me".
